Trasporto marittimo: indagine Ue, gli italiani chiedono più sicurezza
Sono più di 400 milioni i passeggeri che ogni anno transitano attraverso i porti dell’Unione Europea. Per questo il settore marittimo è uno dei più importanti segmenti del trasporto comunitario ed anche per questa ragione la Commissione Europea ha incaricato Eurobarometro di condurre un’indagine su un campione di quasi 28mila cittadini comunitari per valutarne la percezione della qualità del trasporto marittimo nell’Ue.
Il rapporto, realizzato lo scorso ottobre e appena pubblicato, chiarisce che ciò che più di tutto sta a cuore agli europei è la questione del costo dei biglietti. Il 18% degli intervistati ritiene, infatti, sia questo il fattore principale che influisce sulla qualità del servizio, seguito dall’inquinamento dell’acqua e dalla ridotta disponibilità dei collegamenti, entrambi al 15%. Ci sono poi la limitata frequenza del servizio (nel 14% dei casi) e l’accessibilità (10%). Solo il 9% si preoccupa invece della sicurezza, tra le ultime categorie nella classifica.
La situazione si ribalta però per gli italiani che, a differenza di tutti gli altri intervistati, pongono quest’ultima come questione fondamentale: alla domanda su quali siano i problemi più seri che colpiscono il trasporto marittimo o di fiume il 22% risponde che la principale questione da affrontare è proprio quella della sicurezza. A seguire, nello stesso sentimento, il 17% di bulgari, il 14% degli irlandesi e dei greci.
