A3: aperta galleria tra Sicignano e Contursi
Abbattuto questa mattina il diaframma della galleria San Michele, in direzione nord, tra gli svincoli di Sicignano e Contursi, in provincia di Salerno. “La rottura del diaframma in direzione nord è una tappa fondamentale nel completamento dei lavori tra Sicignano e Contursi che ci permette di concludere questo tratto di autostrada entro la fine di luglio – ha affermato il presidente di Anas Pietro Ciucci – Prima del grande esodo estivo il tratto di autostrada sarà terminato e avrà tre corsie per senso di marcia più una di emergenza”.
La canna nord della nuova galleria San Michele ha una lunghezza di oltre 600 metri, con una sezione di scavo di 170 mq ed un diametro di circa 15 metri. La sezione stradale della carreggiata è composta da 3 corsie più 2 banchine su ambo i lati per una larghezza complessiva della piattaforma stradale pari a 12,4 metri. Anche per la canna in direzione nord sono state utilizzate nuove tecnologie e moderne procedure di scavo. La galleria San Michele, insieme alla galleria Sant’Angelo, anche quest’ultima a doppia canna, sono due importanti opere che si inseriscono nell’ultimo tratto salernitano a tre corsie fino all`innesto con il Raccordo Sicignano-Potenza e particolarmente importante per il territorio dei comuni di Postiglione e Sicignano degli Alburni.
“Il lotto di Contursi e le opere d’arte realizzate – ha concluso Pietro Ciucci – sono solo una parte della grande sfida ingegneristica e finanziaria che ci vede protagonisti su oltre 440 km di autostrada. La nuova Salerno-Reggio Calabria, alla fine dei lavori, avrà una estensione complessiva inferiore all’attuale di circa 10 km, in virtù delle scelte tecniche rigorose effettuate sulla geometria del tracciato, dove saranno realizzate 48 gallerie naturali, 17 artificiali e 127 viadotti. In alcune tratte, quali quella Lucana e quella terminale calabrese, la successione galleria-viadotto si estende per decine di chilometri senza soluzione di continuità e con progetti innovativi”.
