Boeing: debutta il 737 MAX 9
Roll out per il primo Boeing 737 MAX 9, di fronte a centinaia di dipendenti della società. Il velivolo è il secondo e più grande membro della famiglia di aerei 737 MAX, con una capacità massima di 220 passeggeri ed un range di 3.515 miglia nautiche. L’aereo adesso sta iniziando i system checks ed i fueling and engine runs sulla linea di volo. Una volta completati i test, l’aereo darà il via ai flight test nelle prossime settimane – la fase finale di verifica delle caratteristiche operative e la performance complessiva sul nuovo aereo. Il 737 MAX 9 entrerà in servizio nel 2018, mentre il 737 MAX 8 verrà consegnato ai clienti, secondo la tabella di marcia, nel secondo trimestre del 2017.
La famiglia del 737 MAX è stata progettata per offrire ai clienti prestazioni eccezionali, flessibilità ed efficienza, con costi inferiori per posto a sedere e un range ampliato che consentirà l’apertura di nuove destinazioni nel mercato degli aerei a corridoio singolo. Al MAX 8 e 9 seguiranno nel 2019 il più piccolo MAX 7 e il MAX 200 con maggiore capacità, mentre proseguono studi e analisi con i clienti sulla futura crescita della famiglia. Il 737 MAX è l’aereo venduto più velocemente nella storia Boeing, con 3.600 ordini all’attivo ad oggi, da parte di 83 clienti in tutto il mondo.
