Gli aeroporti di Venezia e Treviso cresciuti del 7,1 per cento nel 2011
Il 2011 è stato un ottimo anno per il sistema aeroportuale Venezia – Treviso, che ha registrato 9.662.156 passeggeri, con un incremento del 7,1% rispetto all’anno precedente. L’aeroporto Marco Polo di Venezia ha gestito 8.584.651 passeggeri, con un incremento del 25% rispetto al 2010. Da sottolineare però che il dato include il traffico generato dalle compagnie aeree normalmente operative a Treviso che nel periodo 1 giugno – 4 dicembre 2011 è stato trasferito sullo scalo veneziano a seguito della chiusura dell’aeroporto Antonio Canova per i lavori di manutenzione alla pista di volo. Il traffico generato nell’anno dalle sole compagnie aeree che operano regolarmente all’aeroporto di Venezia corrisponde a 7.294.784 passeggeri, in incremento del 6,2% rispetto all’anno precedente.
Durante l’anno l’offerta dei voli si è arricchita con importanti nuove destinazioni. Nel segmento intercontinentale, è stato avviato il collegamento diretto giornaliero con Doha, in Qatar, operato dalla compagnia mediorientale Qatar Airways, mentre nel panorama europeo, sono stati introdotti i nuovi servizi verso Marsiglia e Tolosa, operati rispettivamente da Air Corsica e Vueling; nel periodo estivo Dubrovnik e Palma di Maiorca sono state più facilmente raggiungibili grazie ai servizi diretti di Croatia Airlines e Vueling.Turkish Airlines, vettore in grande espansione, ha raddoppiato la sua presenza a Venezia con l’introduzione del secondo volo giornaliero sul proprio hub di Istanbul, dallo scorso aprile. Analogamente, il vettore russo Aeroflot, ha incrementato i collegamenti tra Venezia e Mosca, portando l’esistente frequenza giornaliera a due voli al giorno dallo scorso luglio.Questa combinazione di potenziamento e nuovi instradamenti verso i principali hub funzionali ai collegamenti verso l’Asia ha contribuito significativamente alla crescita dei flussi di traffico tra Venezia e l’Oriente, anche sulle destinazioni non servite direttamente. In particolare, sono in forte espansione i volumi dei passeggeri verso la Cina e l’India che sono cresciuti rispettivamente del 32% e del 24% rispetto al 2010.
Il traffico dell’aeroporto di Treviso si è attestato a 1.077.505 passeggeri, dato che non comprende i volumi gestiti a Venezia nel periodo di chiusura. Complessivamente, il traffico generato dai vettori basati a Treviso ha prodotto un incremento dei volumi aeroportuali del 10% rispetto al 2010.“L’anno appena concluso è stato particolarmente intenso per il nostro sistema aeroportuale, con lo spostamento nei mesi estivi del traffico da Treviso che ha funzionato alla perfezione”, ha commentato Enrico Marchi, presidente di Save. “Il 2012 sarà anch’esso un anno di sviluppo per il nostro sistema grazieall’incremento di capacità su rotte già servite, ma soprattutto grazie a importanti accordi raggiunti, come quello con Air One che posizionerà sul nostro aeroporto due Airbus A320 eattiverà 12 nuove rotte per Atene, Barcellona, Bruxelles, Bucarest, Istanbul, Minorca, Palma diMaiorca, Praga, San Pietroburgo, Sofia, Tirana, Varsavia. Inoltre Emirates raddoppierà i voligiornalieri e altre importanti novità riguarderanno l’Est europeo, la Francia e la Gran Bretagna”.
