Iata: continua ad agosto la ripresa del traffico passeggeri
Ad agosto il traffico aereo passeggeri è cresciuto del 67,7% rispetto ad agosto 2021. A livello globale, il traffico è ora al 73,7% dei livelli pre-crisi.
Questa, in sintesi, la fotografia dello stato del trasporto aereo ad agosto in base ai dati diffusi dall’Associazione internazionale del trasporto aereo (Iata) che registrano uno slancio continuo verso una piena ripresa.
Il traffico interno è aumentato del 26,5% rispetto ad agosto di un anno fa e si attesta all’85,4% del livello di agosto 2019.
Il traffico internazionale è cresciuto del 115,6% rispetto ad agosto 2021 con le compagnie aeree asiatiche che hanno registrato i tassi di crescita più elevati anno su anno. Il traffico internazionale di agosto 2022 ha raggiunto il 67,4% dei livelli di agosto 2019.
“L’alta stagione dei viaggi estivi nell’emisfero settentrionale si è conclusa con una nota positiva – sottolinea Willie Walsh, direttore generale della Iata –. Considerando le incertezze economiche prevalenti, la domanda di viaggi sta progredendo bene. E la rimozione o l’allentamento delle restrizioni di viaggio in alcune destinazioni asiatiche chiave, incluso il Giappone, accelererà sicuramente la ripresa in Asia. La Cina continentale è l’ultimo grande mercato a mantenere severe restrizioni in ingresso”.
Ad agosto le compagnie dell’Asia-Pacifico hanno registrato una crescita del traffico del 449,2% rispetto ad agosto 2021. La capacità è aumentata del 167% e il fattore di carico è aumentato di 40,1 punti percentuali al 78%. Sebbene la regione abbia registrato la crescita più forte su base annua – sottolinea Iata – le restanti restrizioni ai viaggi in Cina continuano a ostacolare la ripresa generale della regione.
I passeggeri dei vettori europei sono cresciuti del 78,8% rispetto ad agosto 2021. La capacità è cresciuta del 48% e il fattore di carico è aumentato di 14,7 punti percentuali, attestandosi all’85,5%. La regione ha il secondo fattore di carico più alto dopo il Nord America.
Il traffico delle compagnie mediorientali è aumentato del 144,9% rispetto ad agosto 2021. La capacità è cresciuta del 72,2% rispetto ad agosto 2021 fa e il fattore di carico è salito di 23,7 punti percentuali al 79,8%.
I vettori nordamericani hanno registrato una crescita passeggeri del 110,4% rispetto ag agosto 2021. La capacità è aumentata del 69,7% e il fattore di carico è salito di 16,9 punti percentuali all’87,2%, il più alto tra le regioni.
I passeggeri delle compagnie latinoamericane sono cresciuti del 102,5% rispetto ad agosto 2021. La capacità è aumentata dell’80,8% e il fattore di carico è cresciuto di 8,9 punti percentuali all’83,5%.
Le compagnie africane hanno registrato passeggeri in crescita del 69,5% rispetto ad agosto dello scorso anno. La capacità è aumentata del 45,3% e il fattore di carico è salito di 10,8 punti percentuali al 75,9%, il più basso tra le regioni. Il traffico internazionale tra l’Africa e le regioni limitrofe è vicino ai livelli pre-pandemia.
