Airbus spinge verso l’alto i profitti di Eads
E’ stata soprattutto Airbus il motore di crescita della casa madre Eads nel 2011. L’azienda di Tolosa ha riportato ricavi in crescita del 10% a 33,103 miliardi di euro (29,978 nel 2010), mentre l’Ebit è aumentato del 91% a 584 milioni di euro (305 milioni nel 2010). I ricavi di Airbus Commercial sono stati pari a 31,159 miliardi e la produzione è aumentata per il decimo anno di fila, raggiungendo il nuovo record di 534 consegne, compresi 26 A380. Airbus Military ha invece visto i propri ricavi diminuire del 7% a 2,504 miliardi di euro, mentre l’Ebit è aumentato a 49 milioni di euro (21 milioni nel 2010). Nell’anno appena concluso Airbus Commercial ha battuto ogni record di ordini con 1.419 nuove commesse (574 nel 2010). La sola famiglia A320neo ha ottenuto 1.226 ordini, ottenendo così il primato di aereo venduto più velocemente nella storia dell’aviazione. Ma nel 2011 sono stati raggiunti anche altri importanti traguardi, come la consegna del 7millesimo aereo. Due compagnia, Korean Air e China Southern hanno ricevuto il loro primo A380, portando a sette il numero delle compagnie con i superjumbo in operatività, ma in totale nel 2011 sono stati consegnati 26 A380. Intanto continua il programma A350XWB. Altre sezioni sono arrivate nella linea di assemblaggio finale di Tolosa a fine 2011. A febbraio 2012 il primo motore Trent XWB ha condotto con successo il primo volo di test sull’A380 e l’entrata in servizio è prevista per il 2014. Airbus Military ha consegnato 29 aerei nel 2011, tra cui sei A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport. Gli ordini ricevuti sono stati invece cinque.
