Commissione Ue: nuove strategie contro gli incidenti stradali
Ridurre il numero e la gravità degli incidenti stradali costituisce una delle priorità della politica europea dei trasporti, che figura altresì tra gli obiettivi strategici delineati negli orientamenti della Commissione in materia di sicurezza stradale 2011-2020. Al fine di elaborare una strategia globale volta a ridurre la gravità dei danni fisici causati da incidenti stradali, la Commissione europea ha lanciato il 17 aprile una consultazione pubblica, che invita le parti interessate ad esprimere il proprio punto di vista non solo su questioni generali relative alla sicurezza stradale, ma anche su profili più specifici attinenti alla tutela di talune categorie vulnerabili di utenti della strada, al miglioramento della raccolta dei dati e alla tenuta di banche dati europee, alla comune definizione di concetti quali “lesioni gravi” e “lesioni lievi” e all’individuazione delle modalità d’intervento che siano capaci di favorire una prevenzione efficace. Il termine ultimo per presentare i contributi è fissato al 26 giugno.
