Wizz Air ritorna sull’aeroporto di Perugia
A partire dal prossimo 6 luglio Wizz Air sarà operativa anche dall’aeroporto di Perugia. SASE SpA, la società di gestione dello scalo, ha infatti annunciato la nuova rotta Perugia – Tirana, che sarà operata due volte a settimana, ogni mercoledì e sabato, con aeromobili Airbus A320 da 180 posti della compagnia. Si tratta di un ritorno – Wizz Air ha volato sullo scalo umbro fino ad inizio 2018 – di un vettore che si sta affermando con grande forza nel mercato europeo grazie alla qualità ed efficienza dei suoi servizi, congiuntamente ad una politica tariffaria fortemente competitiva.
Atterrata per la prima volta in Italia nel 2004, Wizz Air possiede oggi una flotta di 152 aeromobili, operando da 25 aeroporti italiani, comprese le 7 basi. Questa nuova rotta è un’ulteriore dimostrazione dell’impegno che Wizz Air sta mettendo sul mercato italiano.
“Da un punto di vista strategico questa nuova rotta rappresenta un’opportunità di potenziare il traffico aereo verso un nuovo scalo e siamo felici di iniziare questa nuova collaborazione con l’Aeroporto internazionale dell’Umbria”, ha commentato Paulina Gosk, Corporate Communication Manager della compagnia. E Umberto Solimeno, Direttore Generale dell’aeroporto dell’Umbria, ha dichiarato: “Siamo entusiasti di ospitare una delle compagnie aeree più importanti d’Europa. Wizz air rappresenta un’importante opportunità di crescita, ci consente di servire nuovi mercati espandendo ulteriormente il network del “San Francesco d’Assisi. Con Wizzair le compagnie aeree che operano sullo scalo diventano 8 con oltre 80 voli settimanali che serviranno 15 rotte, un record assoluto”.
