Iata: ad agosto traffico in crescita, anche rispetto a luglio scorso
Ad agosto il traffico passeggeri mondiale è salito del 3,8% rispetto al corrispondente mese del 2018. Un dato che, sottolinea la Iata, l’associazione internazionale del trasporto aereo, evidenzia una accelerazione rispetto a luglio, quando era aumentato del 3,5%. La capacità, misurata in ASK (available seat kilometers) è invece aumentata del 3,5%, di conseguenza il loaf factor è salito di 0,3 punti percentuali all’85,7%.
“Mentre abbiamo assistito a un aumento della domanda di passeggeri ad agosto rispetto a luglio, la crescita rimane al di sotto della tendenza di lungo termine e in calo rispetto all’incirca all’8,5% annuo registrato nel periodo 2016-2011 – ha sottolineato Alexandre de Juniac, direttore generale e ceo della Iata -. Ciò riflette l’impatto dei rallentamenti economici in alcuni mercati chiave, l’incertezza sulla Brexit e la guerra commerciale tra Stati Uniti e Cina”.
Il trasporto passeggeri internazionale è cresciuto del 3,3%, con aumenti per tutte le regioni, a partire dall’Africa che ha segnato un incremento del 4,1%, in rialzo rispetto al 3,2% di luglio. Bene anche i vettori europei che hanno riportato un incremento del 3,7% e quelli dell’Asia Pacifico, con un +3,5%. In Medio Oriente l’aumento è stato del 2,9%, in Nord America del 2,5% e in America Latina del 2,3%.
