Delta Air Lines: uno spazio per le merci
Delta Air Lines lancia il volo stagionale estivo New York-Reykjavik e New York-JFK. Il collegamento no-stop sarà operato cinque volte a settimana con un Boeing 757-200 da 170 posti. Delta sarà così l’unico vettore americano a collegare non-stop l’Islanda e gli Usa. Il nuovo volo non soltanto offrirà ai passeggeri oltre 50 relazioni in coincidenza verso Usa, America Latina e Caraibi, ma fornirà anche l’opportunità agli operatori merci e ai principali esportatori di pesce del Paese di raggiungere il vantaggioso mercato americano. Sarà infatti in grado di trasportare fino a 7 tonnellate di merci al giorno.
Questa estate Delta collegherà la base di Atlanta a Copenhagen, Praga, Venezia e Atene. L’orario da New York comprende anche Budapest, Pisa, Valencia e Zurigo. In pista pure il Roma-Detroit. Da domani sarà inoltre disponibile, su tutti i voli internazionali a lungo raggio, Economy Comfort, la nuova sezione premium della Economy class di Delta con poltrone più spaziose di 10 centimetri e col 50% di reclinabilità in più rispetto alle poltrone normali. Per le relazioni notturne la compagnia sta approntando le poltrone letto nella classe BusinessElite su tutti i voli ‘widebody’ internazionali. Attualmente il prodotto è disponibile su tutti i voli da Londra e su tutti i Boeing 767-400 di Delta che operano dall’Italia, dalla Germania e dalla Spagna. Il processo si completerà entro il 2013. Queste novità rientrano in un piano di investimenti di oltre 2 miliardi di dollari.
