Enac: riattivato il sistema Ils all’aeroporto di Palermo
All’aeroporto di Palermo è stato ripristinato il sistema Ils (Instrumental Landing System). Lo comunicano, in una nota congiunta, Enac ed Enav. Il sistema era rimasto danneggiato lo scorso 24 settembre in seguito all’incidente dell’Airbus di WindJet, fuoriuscito di pista a causa del maltempo. In virtù dell’intervento sono state riattivate le condizioni di massima utilizzabilità dello scalo.
L’Ils è un sistema che consente agli aerei in avvicinamento ad uno scalo di effettuare atterraggi di precisione, anche in condizioni di visibilità ridotta.
Il Presidente dell’Enac Vito Riggio ha espresso un ringraziamento particolare all’Enav per l’efficienza e la professionalità dimostrate una volta di più nella gestione di questo inconveniente. In effetti, il nuovo impianto è stato attivato con quasi una settimana di anticipo rispetto a quanto inizialmente previsto, grazie anche alla collaborazione di tutti gli operatori presenti in aeroporto.
