Il ministero della Difesa sceglie la tecnologia Thales Italia per Pisa e Cameri
Il ministero della Difesa italiano Teledife (Direzione Informatica, Telematica e Tecnologie Avanzate) ha selezionato Thales Italia per i nuovi sistemi di assistenza alla navigazione aerea da installare presso gli aeroporti di Pisa e Cameri (NO). Lo scorso dicembre la Direzione generale Teledife ha, infatti, assegnato a Thales Italia due importanti contratti.Il primo prevede la fornitura e installazione presso l’aeroporto di Pisa di un sistema VOR doppler (VHF Omnidirectional Range) e di un DME (Distance Measuring Equipment), entrambi utilizzati sia in rotta che in fase di avvicinamento. Il sistema VOR fornisce informazioni di azimuth, mentre il DME fornisce informazioni di distanza.Il secondo contratto prevede l’installazione e fornitura di un ILS/DME presso l’aeroporto di Cameri. L’apparato ILS (Instrumental Landing System) sarà in grado di assicurare atterraggi nella più completa sicurezza, anche in condizioni meteorologiche avverse e di scarsa visibilità.Tutti i sistemi saranno prodotti nel sito di Thales Italia di Gorgonzola (Milano). La produzione degli apparati sarà completata entro cinque mesi dalla esecutività del contratto, mentre gli impianti saranno predisposti per le certificazioni in volo presso l’aeroporto di Cameri e presso l’aeroporto di Pisa entro fine anno.Questo nuovo successo conferma la fiducia che le istituzioni italiane ripongono nella tecnologia di Thales Italia. Le prestazioni degli apparati e la loro estrema affidabilità costituiscono il valore aggiunto del Gruppo che è leader mondiale nell’ambito delle radioassistenze.
