Tap Portugal ripremiata dai World Travel Awards
Tap Portugal, vettore membro di Star Alliance, è stata premiata per il secondo anno consecutivo dai World Travel Awards come compagnia aerea leader mondiale per il Sud America. Il premio è stato consegnato a Luiz Mór, amministratore esecutivo di Tap Portugal, nel corso della cerimonia di gala tenutasi a Londra il 7 novembre scorso. Tap Portugal collega infatti il Sud America con 9 destinazioni servite e 67 frequenze settimanali da Lisbona e Porto.
I World Travel Awards sono stati istituiti con l’obiettivo di riconoscere, premiare e celebrare l’eccellenza dei risultati conseguiti durante l’anno dagli operatori dell’industria turistica mondiale e sono oggi il premio più prestigioso del settore. I vincitori dell’edizione 2010 sono stati annunciati dopo un lungo processo di selezione che si è svolto nel corso dell’anno e che ha coinvolto 3.600 candidati di 919 differenti categorie e oltre 183.000 operatori del settore, in tutto il mondo. L’elezione dei vincitori dei Wta è il risultato di una votazione online che ha visto la partecipazione di agenti di viaggio e specialisti del turismo, oltre al pubblico dei viaggiatori.
“Siamo lieti che Tap sia stata premiata per il secondo anno consecutivo dai World Travel Awards” ha commentato Luiz Mór. Questo premio è motivo di grande orgoglio e rappresenta un importante riconoscimento per il lavoro svolto con impegno e costanza nel corso degli ultimi anni per promuovere e intensificare la presenza di Tap in Sud America, in particolare in Brasile, verso il quale TAP è il vettore che trasporta più passeggeri, collegando oltre 30 città europee a nove differenti destinazioni nel paese: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Viracopos, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Salvador da Bahia, Recife, Natal e Fortaleza”
Tra le novità Tap di quest’anno si ricorda l’inaugurazione del nuovo collegamento per l’aeroporto internazionale di Viracopos. L’introduzione del nuovo operativo, punta a rispondere alle esigenze specifiche della clientela offrendo la possibilità di raggiungere più facilmente un’area di rilevanza internazionale per il settore industriale ed economico di Campinas e del nord dello Stato di São Paulo.
Nei primi 10 mesi del 2010 i passeggeri trasportati da TAP Portugal sulle rotte per il Brasile sono stati 1.200.000, registrando un incremento del 29% rispetto allo stesso periodo dell’anno precedente.
