Piaggio-Ricardo: nuovi Diesel per veicoli leggeri
La nuova famiglia di motori Piaggio, progettati e sviluppati in collaborazione con Ricardo, equipaggerà la gamma dei veicoli commerciali leggeri Piaggio. I nuovi motori Diesel permetteranno al Gruppo Piaggio di offrire ai propri clienti europei e asiatici una scelta ancora più ampia di moderni veicoli commerciali caratterizzati da grandi prestazioni insieme a bassi livelli di consumi ed emissioni. Ricardo è partner di lunga data del produttore italiano – famoso per la sua indiscussa leadership in Europa nel settore degli scooter e dei ciclomotori e la sua ampia gamma di veicoli commerciali leggeri – sia per la fornitura di software ingegneristico che per il supporto nei programmi di sviluppo dei prodotti.
La famiglia di motori comprende nella fascia alta un modello da 1,2 litri a due cilindri turbodiesel common rail Euro 5 dotato di filtro anti-particolato (Dpf: Diesel particulate filter), destinato ai clienti europei. Un motore che raggiunge una potenza di 47 kW con consumi estremamente bassi ed emissioni di CO2 (su Piaggio Porter) di appena 127 g/km. Dato l’utilizzo di questi veicoli, prevalentemente in centro città e per attività di consegna, i clienti potranno approfittare sia del sistema Dpf all’avanguardia che della ridotta manutenzione resa possibile dal nuovo motore. Per mercati più attenti al fattore economico, come l’India, la stessa famiglia di motori verrà offerta in versione con aspirazione naturale, conforme alle normative Bharat Fase 4 (lo standard indiano equivalente all’Euro 4) sulla gamma dei veicoli Piaggio Ape Plus.
