Un nuovo sistema satellitare per gli automezzi Fercam
300 automezzi impiegati dall’operatore logistico Fercam sulle strade d’Europa sono ora dotati di un nuovo sistema di controllo satellitare.
Portare puntualmente a destinazione le spedizioni dei clienti in tutta Europa: questo in sintesi l’obiettivo fondamentale del servizio offerto dalla divisione Ftl di Fercam, garantendo anche un ottimo livello di sicurezza e tracciabilità delle spedizioni. Il nuovo sistema di controllo satellitare collega in tempo reale le filiali nazionali ed europee.
“Utilizziamo una combinazione di navigazione satellitare e di sistemi di allarme specifici per Fercam – spiega Hannes Baumgartner, Responsabile Divisione Ftl di Fercam SpA -. Grazie al sistema Gps i mezzi non solo possono essere localizzati, ma sono anche costantemente collegati a un servizio di sicurezza esterno che può reagire tempestivamente in situazioni di pericolo”.
Su tutti percorsi il sistema rileva i tempi impiegati, le distanze percorse e le velocità tenute dai mezzi. Basandosi su queste informazioni Fercam può ottimizzare i servizi di spedizione stradale su tutto il territorio nazionale ed europeo, evitando al contempo inutili rischi e spiacevoli ritardi alla consegna. “Quanto a sicurezza e qualità i nostri clienti possono contare su standard elevati nel trasporto delle loro merci – sottolinea Hannes Baumgartner – a ciò ha contribuito in modo significativo un importante investimento nel campo dell’IT”.
Nei momenti critici in cui si sospettano possibili incidenti o aggressioni, il sistema di controllo, attiva istantaneamente un allarme differenziato.
“Abbiamo introdotto il tracking e un sistema di inoltro ordini automatico all’autista – spiega Hannes Baumgartner – inoltre, possiamo tutelare la sicurezza tramite il geofencing se il camion non segue il corridoio prefissato. Grazie al sistema di calcolo Eta (Expected Time of Arrival) siamo in grado di predeterminare l’orario di consegna delle spedizioni con un elevato margine di precisione, inoltre abbiamo optato, al contrario dei nostri competitor, per il mantenimento di una comunicazione via telefono con ogni automezzo. Certamente è una soluzione più costosa ma offre due vantaggi determinanti: reperibilità immediata e sicura; dall’altro il servizio di sicurezza ha la possibilità di collegarsi al camion dopo l’attivazione dell’allarme per controllare la situazione e avviare, se necessario, le misure opportune”.
