Logistica: le aziende italiane scelgono l’outsourcing
La logistica rimane un’attività fortemente esternalizzata per le aziende italiane. Il 78% dei costi logistici sostenuti dalle imprese è originato da attività svolte da terzi e la tendenza all’outsourcing, in futuro, riguarderà in particolare la gestione dei magazzini, dove l’esternalizzazione crescerà del 10% nel prossimo triennio. È quanto emerge dalla ricerca “La logistica tra presente e futuro” presentata oggi alla Bocconi e condotta da SDA Bocconi e Accenture su un campione di aziende italiane e multinazionali operanti in Italia con fatturato di oltre 50 milioni di euro, che operano in diversi settori industriali: Food&Beverage (24%), Fornitori di servizi logistici (22%), Farmaceutico (17%), Retail (15%).
Lo studio rivela che le operazioni legate alla logistica risultano ancora oggi attività ‘fisiche’: l’89% dei costi sono infatti generati da attività di trasporto e di magazzino e incidono sul fatturato dal 2% al 7% circa a seconda dei settori, una tendenza che si prevede rimarrà costante anche nel prossimo triennio.
La distanza tra domanda e offerta di servizi logistici è però la problematica principale che emerge dall’analisi di SDA Bocconi e Accenture: “La domanda delle aziende è ancora fortemente concentrata sui servizi tradizionali di trasporto e magazzino e, quindi, sulla riduzione di costi, mentre l’offerta degli operatori logistici si sta sforzando di proporre servizi di pianificazione a maggior valore aggiunto e una maggiore personalizzazione a seconda dei fabbisogni dei clienti”, spiega Enzo Baglieri, responsabile della Unit Operations and Technology Management della SDA Bocconi.
“A differenza di quello che sembra essere il trend fuori dai confini nazionali, risulta quindi più arduo per gli operatori logistici trasformarsi in veri e propri ‘quarte parti logistiche’, ossia orchestratori della supply chain”.
Ciò nonostante si avverte un cambiamento culturale tra le aziende italiane, nel garantire maggiore efficienza nella relazione tra clienti e fornitori e una migliore integrazione dei processi e dei flussi informativi attraverso un ricorso più sistematico della tecnologia.
“La logistica, come confermano i dati emersi da questa ricerca, sta diventando sempre più un fattore determinante per la competitività delle imprese e il raggiungimento dei livelli ottimali di efficienza – dichiara Paolo Mondo Responsabile Supply Chain di Accenture – Tuttavia, perché questo settore riesca ad esprimere realmente il suo potenziale e il suo valore, è necessario colmare lo scostamento tra domanda e offerta, soprattutto aiutando le aziende a comprendere l’importanza dell’outsourcing anche per quelle attività a maggiore contenuto informativo e a maggior valore aggiunto, come ad esempio le fasi finali dei processi di assemblaggio e distribuzione e la pianificazione dei flussi”.
Il futuro della logistica non si caratterizzerà solo per la crescita dell’outsourcing. Nei prossimi tre anni, infatti, quasi la metà delle aziende intervistate concentrerà i propri investimenti sulla revisione del network logistico e sul ridisegno delle strategie distributive (40%), oltre che sul miglioramento delle attività di previsione, pianificazione e programmazione della distribuzione (25%).
