Anas: aperto nuovo tratto sulla statale Aurelia
L’Anas ha aperto al traffico un nuovo tratto della strada statale 1 Aurelia che costituisce la variante all’abitato di La Spezia, tra la località Seresa e la ex strada statale 330, e che consentirà di collegare le due principali vallate spezzine della Val di Vara e della Val di Magra, entrambe caratterizzate dalla presenza di importanti centri abitati e da un forte pendolarismo. Alla cerimonia, sono intervenuti l’assessore alle Infrastrutture della Regione Liguria Raffaella Paita, l’assessore con deleghe alle Politiche della Viabilità della Provincia di La Spezia Giorgio Casabianca, il sindaco del Comune di La Spezia Massimo Federici e il Condirettore generale dell’Anas Gavino Coratza.
“L’inaugurazione di oggi – ha affermato il presidente dell’Anas Pietro Ciucci nella sua lettera inviata ai presenti – pone la parola fine ad una lunga e sofferta vicenda che aveva nel corso degli anni fortemente penalizzato il sistema dei trasporti, in particolare, nel collegamento con la strategica e fondamentale infrastruttura portuale”.
Risale, infatti, al 1992 la storia dei lavori di costruzione della variante, che furono suddivisi in due lotti.
“A partire da oggi – ha assicurato Pietro Ciucci – rendiamo finalmente funzionale il secondo lotto, mediante il collegamento del primo lotto con la viabilità esistente in località Felettino. Abbiamo, infatti, provveduto alla realizzazione di un collegamento che parte dalla fine del tratto realizzato nel ’92 (all’uscita lato La Spezia della galleria Castelletti), e arriva all’innesto con la ex strada statale 330”.
La nuova infrastruttura stradale, lunga 3,3 km (a quali si aggiungono altri 3,1 km relativi al lotto 1, già aperti nel 2008) ha comportato anche la realizzazione di due svincoli a rotatoria: il primo necessario per collegare la variante con l’ospedale Felettino, già esistente e di prossimo rifacimento; il secondo invece necessario per collegare la variante con la ex strada statale 330 e con la viabilita’ urbana.
