Roma, il 24 marzo torna #Vialibera: circuito ciclo-pedonale da San Lorenzo al Corso
Torna domenica 24 marzo l’iniziativa #VIALIBERA. Terza edizione della manifestazione che coincide con la quinta domenica ecologica.
Il circuito ciclo-pedonale di 15 km da San Lorenzo al Corso, usufruibile dalle 10 alle 18 è off-limits per auto e scooter. Attraverserà tutta la città, tra le strade interessate: via Cola di Rienzo, via Tiburtina (San Lorenzo), via dei Fori Imperiali e Largo Corrado Ricci, via del Corso, via XX Settembre, Piazza Venezia, viale Manzoni, via Labicana e via Veneto.
Il progetto è promosso da Roma Capitale, coordinato dall’Assessorato alla Città in Movimento con gli Assessorati Sport, Politiche Giovanili e Grandi Eventi, Crescita Culturale, Sostenibilità ambientale, Sviluppo economico, Turismo e Lavoro, Persona, Scuola e Comunità solidale, con la collaborazione dei Municipi e della Polizia Locale, curato da Roma Servizi per la Mobilità e Zètema.
“Dopo il successo delle prime due edizioni rinnoviamo un’iniziativa importante che vogliamo rendere un appuntamento fisso per i cittadini da lasciare in eredità alla Capitale. Un’occasione per vivere la città e la strada in modo sostenibile, coinvolgendo tutte le realtà del territorio, associazioni e comitati, esercizi commerciali e soggetti istituzionali, come musei, biblioteche e istituti scolastici situati lungo il percorso”, dichiara la Sindaca Virginia Raggi.
“Anche questa volta i cittadini potranno riappropriarsi degli spazi sotto casa e prendere parte agli eventi culturali, iniziative di quartiere e attività ludico-ricreative. Una giornata di festa per promuovere un diverso approccio alla mobilità e un nuovo utilizzo della strada”, aggiunge l’Assessora alla Città in movimento, Linda Meleo.
#VIALIBERA si replicherà in altre tre date: 28 aprile, 12 maggio e 16 giugno 2019, con orario esteso fino alle 19. L’Amministrazione ha poi previsto l’estensione dell’iniziativa per la domenica inclusa nella Settimana Europea della Mobilità Sostenibile, nel mese di settembre 2019.
