Mare: dall’Ue via libera al monitoraggio delle emissioni marittime
Dal primo gennaio 2018 gli armatori dovranno comunicare per ogni nave le emissioni di CO2 su base sia annuale che per singolo viaggio. Lo prevede l’accordo stipulato al Consiglio Ue ambiente, ora sotto la presidenza italiana con il ministro Gian Luca Galletti. Lo scambio di informazioni riguarda le emissioni rispetto al consumo di carburante, l’efficienza energetica e i lavori di trasporto delle grandi navi commerciali sopra le 5.000 tonnellate.
La Commissione Ue a sua volta ogni anno dovrà redigere un rapporto sulle emissioni legate al trasporto marittimo, che è l’unico settore finora escluso dagli impegni Ue per il taglio della CO2. Questo accordo costituisce dunque il primo passo per un approccio graduale per ridurre le emissioni a effetto serra anche in questo ambito.
