Porto Venezia: due convegni su ambiente e sostenibilità
“GreenPort Logistics” e “Energy for Green Ports”, questi i titoli dei due convegni che si terranno presso il Porto Passeggeri di Venezia il 23 e il 24 febbraio 2011 dedicati alle prassi ambientali sostenibili. Lo ha annunciato Ewp Communications, in qualità di organizzatore dei convegni.
”L’Autorità Portuale di Venezia è da sempre vicina alle tematiche ambientali – ha commentato il Professor Paolo Costa, Presidente dell’Autorità Portuale di Venezia – e da anni ha intrapreso una serie di progetti con l’obiettivo di diventare il primo scalo Carbon Neutral in Italia. Be lean, be clean e be green, questa la sintesi delle tre fasi di attività del Porto Verde veneziano. Un motto che si traduce in: tagliare i consumi, efficientare le macchine termiche eliminando gli sprechi e installare impianti fotovoltaici. Le tre fasi si concretizzano in una strategia di Porto Verde che prevede azioni su più fronti quali: la generazione e/o stoccaggio energetico proveniente da fonti alternative ai combustibili fossili; il miglioramento della raccolta e il riciclo delle acque meteoriche e dei rifiuti a bordo e il raggiungimento delle emissioni zero dentro il Porto attraverso l’applicazione del cosiddetto cold ironing (elettrificazione delle navi in sosta con energia da terra). Siamo profondamente convinti – conclude Costa – che uno sviluppo portuale sostenibile debba essere fatto non solo di programmi ambientali ambiziosi ma anche all’adozione di buone pratiche di contenimento dellimpatto ambientale atte a tutelare il delicato ambiente lagunare, per questo siamo lieti di ospitare e sostenere l’edizione 2010 di Energy for Green Ports & Green Port Logistics”.
