All’alleanza Xrail lo Swiss Logistics Award 2010
La nuova alleanza Xrail, tra Sbb Cargo e sei ferrovie partner europee, si è aggiudicata lo “Swiss Logistics Award 2010”, il più importante premio di logistica della Svizzera. Il 24 novembre l’associazione di settore GS1 Schweiz ha conferito a Xrail l’ambito riconoscimento premiando il carattere innovativo di questo servizio, che consente alle ferrovie di migliorare la competitività del traffico transfrontaliero a carri completi e di dare un «contributo attivo al decongestionamento del traffico stradale e alla tutela dell’ambiente».
«Siamo molto felici di questo premio», afferma Nicolas Perrin, Ceo di SBB Cargo. «Il riconoscimento “Swiss Logistics Award 2010” premia i nostri sforzi mirati a proporre soluzioni di trasporto eccellenti, per potenziare ulteriormente il trasferimento del traffico merci dalla strada alla rotaia. È proprio nel traffico a carri completi internazionale che possiamo proporre offerte accattivanti e competitive solo se uniamo le nostre forze».
Gli standard di produzione unitari consentono a Xrail di migliorare la competitività del traffico transfrontaliero a carri completi sul piano dell’affidabilità, della trasparenza e della velocità dell’offerta. Tutto questo è possibile grazie al monitoraggio coordinato dell’orario ferroviario e dei tempi di percorrenza, basato sull’interconnessione delle soluzioni informatiche esistenti. I sistemi It delle ferrovie, utilizzati per pianificare e monitorare i treni, sono collegati tra loro a livello centrale nel terminale Xrail. Questo consente ai clienti di verificare on-line i collegamenti offerti e quindi di decidere più rapidamente in merito ai propri trasporti. Anche il processo di allestimento dell’offerta è stato velocizzato sensibilmente. Inoltre, una volta partita la spedizione, i clienti ricevono automaticamente messaggi sull’avvenuta consegna dei carri o su eventuali ritardi. Il sistema Xrail registra anche le singole cause di ritardo e consente pertanto alle ferrovie di ottimizzare costantemente i propri processi di trasporto e la qualità dell’offerta a livello internazionale.
Oggi Sbb Cargo conta nove clienti – principalmente dei settori commercio, carta e acciaio – per i quali gestisce 15 collegamenti sulla rete Xrail. Le prime esperienze dimostrano che nella maggior parte dei casi SBB Cargo supera l’elevato obiettivo di puntualità (pari al 90%) definito da Xrail. L’alleanza è stata costituita ufficialmente a Zurigo nel febbraio 2010. Le sette imprese ferroviarie fondatrici – Cd Cargo (Repubblica Ceca), Cfl Cargo (Lussemburgo), Db Schenker Rail (Germania, Paesi Bassi e Danimarca), Green Cargo (Svezia e Norvegia), Rail Cargo Austria (Austria e Ungheria), Sbb Cargo (Svizzera) e Sncb Logistics (Belgio) – si sono unite con l’obiettivo di potenziare e modernizzare il traffico internazionale a carri completi.
