Fs celebra i 150 anni dell’Officina Nazionale Armamento di Pontassieve
Con il neo ministro dei Trasporti Danilo Toninelli, “non ci siamo ancora sentiti ma ovviamente ci sentiremo nei prossimi giorni e analizzeremo insieme il programma”, sulla Tav “ha dichiarato l’altro giorno che si analizzeranno le opere, attività che per altro stiamo facendo con la project review da un paio di anni, e si deciderà che cosa fare”. Lo ha detto l’ad di Fs Renato Mazzoncini, parlando con i giornalisti a margine delle celebrazioni per i 150 anni dell’Officina nazionale armamento di Pontassieve (Firenze). “Penso che il tema della revisione delle opere sia molto importante – ha aggiunto Mazzoncini -, perché ovviamente alcuni progetti sono molto antichi, quindi anche il lavoro fatto negli ultimi anni, proprio per scegliere dove vanno spesi i soldi, è prezioso e occorre continuarlo”.
Oggi ricorrono i 150 anni dell’Officina Nazionale Armamento di Pontassieve, celebrato oggi da Renato Mazzoncini, Amministratore Delegato di Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Claudia Cattani e Maurizio Gentile, Presidente e Amministratore Delegato di Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, insieme a Vincenzo Ceccarelli, Assessore alle Infrastrutture e alla Mobilità della Regione Toscana, e Monica Marini, Sindaco di Pontassieve.
Nata nel 1868 per iniziativa della Società per le strade ferrate romane e acquisita nel 1905 dalle FS, l’Officina diviene nel corso degli anni un vero e proprio punto di riferimento per la produzione, la manutenzione e la riparazione dell’infrastruttura ferroviaria nazionale e degli elementi fondamentali per il suo funzionamento, in particolar modo scambi e apparecchiature per i binari. Oggi l’Officina di Pontassieve costituisce un polo tecnologicamente avanzato, leader nella produzione di componenti dei binari, sia standard sia speciali, con un organico di circa 100 lavoratori e un fatturato annuo di oltre 67 milioni di euro. Nel 2017 sono stati realizzati circa 1.200 deviatoi e 4.000 giunti.
