Lombardia: partito il primo treno merci diretto in Cina. 10.800 km in 18 giorni
E’ partito questa mattina un treno merci da Mortara (nel Pavese) che in circa 18 giorni percorrerà circa 10.800 km fino a Chengdu, città nel cuore della Cina di 14 milioni di abitanti. Per la prima volta il convoglio collegherà direttamente Italia e Cina. Alla partenza del viaggio inaugurale della nuova Via della Seta è intervenuto l’assessore regionale alle Infrastrutture e Mobilità, Alessandro Sorte precisando che “è una data che rimarrà nella storia. Questo collegamento – ha proseguito – ha per noi una rilevanza importantissima. Regione Lombardia in tempi non sospetti ha investito sul polo di Mortara quasi 10 milioni di euro e ne stanzierà altri ancora. Siamo convinti che anche il Governo italiano farà la propria parte proprio perchè la rete e di proprietà del Governo e questo servizio ha un’importanza notevole per quanto riguarda la logistica”.
Il treno è composto da 17 vagoni in grado di caricare 34 container. Le merci contenute in questo primo treno sono macchinari, mobili, prodotti metallo, piastrelle e automobili. Il treno merci attraversa l’Europa toccando Polonia, Bielorussia, Russia e Kazakistan per arrivare poi in Cina. Con l’apertura dell’instradamento del treno, il tempo di transito dall’Italia verso la provincia cinese del Sichuan è ridotto a circa 18 giorni, rispetto ai 40/45 che impiegano le navi via mare. Per il futuro si prevede un incremento di trasporto di macchinari, mobili, elettronica, automobili, moda, cibo e vino. La recente riduzione dei dazi doganali all’importazione in Cina consentirà di arricchire ulteriormente la tipologia delle merci destinate al mercato cinese.
Entro il 2018, su questa tratta viaggeranno almeno tre coppie dei treni alla settimana, per il 2020 sono previsti invece 20 convogli alla settimana. “Siamo convinti – ha concluso Sorte – della necessità di stringere ulteriormente i rapporti con la Cina. E l’inaugurazione di oggi non pè che l’ultima dimostrazione. Anche questa volta posso dire che la Lombardia è stata la locomotiva d’Italia”.
